Micro Metalsmiths has been supplying filters, diplexers, multiplexers and associated components since 1975. In recent years the company has invested in the latest computer modelling software and the use of investment casting for low cost filter and diplexer production.
Micro Metalsmiths has the following design production capability:
- Frequency range 0.1 to 50 GHz.
- Types lowpass, bandpass, highpass and bandstop in helical, combline, interdigital and waveguide forms.
- Qualification to military, space and commercial standards.
- Capability from special purpose designs to low cost units in thousands per month.
Optimum filter design is achieved through the use of specially produced in-house software, HFSS software and, most importantly, Micro Metalsmiths extensive design database. These tools allow detailed designs to be created, validated and proposed quickly and confidently before full production.
Devices are produced using a variety of in-house precision machining, casting and assembly technologies dependent on the technical and commercial requirements. This gives the capability to quickly and economically manufacture for both low and high volume requirements, be they to a conventional or customer specific design or for integration into an assembly.
