Interdigital bandpass filters are useful over a broad range of bandwidths, for applications between 1 GHza and 20 GHz. They offer excellent passband performance with low loss and well controlled characteristics, together with symmetrical skirts giving good rejection above and below the passband.
Temperature stability is inherently good, but in extreme cases can be enhanced by incorporating temperature compensation into the design. Optimum performance and repeatability are ensured by the use of ingenious computer based design and production techniques.
Construction is in high conductivity copper or aluminium alloy, and connectors can be coaxial or encapsulated pins for direct connection to microstrip assemblies. Where space is limited, high performance miniature units are offered.
